Gold Coast Armor All 600 October 2013
Sun, 22 Sep 2013
The Gold Coast 600 is marking its’ place on the Gold Coast calendar extending its’ usual 3 day event to a month long festival spreading along the Coast. With the off-track entertainment program looking to be the biggest in the events history and the announcement of the additional activities, this year’s Armour All looks to be a not to miss event.
If you love the V8 Super Cars on the Gold Coast but don't want the Surfers experience then why not head to Aqualine Apartments at Southport. The resort is located directly opposite from the sparkling Broadwater and is close enough to the track without being right in the thick of the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the V8 Supercar Drivers battle through one of Australia’s most unforgiving street circuits to claim the inaugural Enduro Cup throughout the day. Head back to relax and recharge at Aqualine before heading to the Surfer’s Paradise beach and getting back into the action at the after race concert.
Some of the events planned for the month include a series of pop-up concerts, a V8 Superkart Derby, an opera event, Gold Coast rockers GC600 Hop and Tapas on Tedder.
US rap-rock outfit, Gym Class Heroes, featuring Travie McCoy, supported by Australia’s Spiderbait, Havana Brown and Bombs Away, will headline Friday night’s concert. Saturday night will be an all-Australian affair with Aria Award winning electro-pop duo The Presets, supported by Rock greats Grinspoon, Gold Coast international success story The Stafford Brothers and DJ Brooke Evers.
With headline acts like this, apartments for the race are starting to fill up but there is still both one and two bedroom apartments available.
The race itself will kick off on the 25th of October so ring now to book your seat for the 2013 action.
