We have an excellent location here, directly across the road is the Broadwater Parklands and the main public boating access to the Broadwater. If you staying here, we recommend you get up early and go for a walk or run round the Parklands before breakfast, or even get breakfast whilst out. I find this the best time of day to exercise, it makes me feel refreshed, and sets me up for the working day. Then on an evening after work, you can just kick back and relax, and make the most of your facilities in your apartment, or have a dip in the pool.

All in all, if you are doing business in and around Southport, at the University or the Hospital, The Aqualine is an ideal place to be. The University and the Hospital are 10 minutes drive in the car, however parking can be a little bit expensive in that precinct. The get the most out of the city, use the G-Link, the nearest stop is a mere 10 minutes walk from the Aqualine, trams run every seven and half minutes during peak periods, and the University and Hospital are only a ten minute journey.

You can also take a river cruise, hire a boat or jet ski and explore the array of life that exists on the Broadwater and surrounding Gold Coast Canals.

If the children need an adrenalin rush or you simply need them to blow off some energy why not explore the range of rides and activities available at Movie World, Wet and Wild, Dream World and White Water World all located a short trip from Aqualine Apartments

Alternatively you can sit back and relax and enjoy the wonderful view of Sea World and Marina Mirage directly from Aqualine Apartments, or take a short drive to Main Beach to take in the wonderful surf the Gold Coast has to offer. We highly recommend a visit to the Southport Surf Life Saving Club to eat and drink while taking in the spectacular beach views Main Beach has to offer. If the surf is not your scene call in and enjoy the ambience of the Southport Yacht Club just 3 kilometres from Aqualine Apartments.

Commonwealth Games Triathlon Trials – view from Aqualine Apartments

We are handily placed right on the Broadwater at Marine Parade. Directly across the road is the start and finish to the Marathon and the Triathlon, I have watched the ITU Triathlon the last few times it has been here, and its really exciting to watch. The organisers have made it a spectator event by condensing the course into a number of small circuits, 8 laps of 5km on the bike, and 4 laps of 2.5km for the run, it will be great to watch.

A 10 minute walk from our apartment block is the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, where the swimming for the Commonwealth Games will be held. I went to watch the last night of the trials last weekend, and it took me 15 minutes to walk to my car, so how lucky will you be staying here.

We are also only a 20 minute walk from the Hockey on Musgrave Avenue, on the way there, you can call in one of the numerous cafes in Chirn Park, and on the way back stop for a drink in one of the bars.

We are also close to the light rail, the nearest stop is 10 minutes away on Scarborough Street, nip into Chinatown before you get on. The light rail now goes from Broadbeach in the south, to Helensvale in the north. Helensvale is also where you can transfer to a train to go to Brisbane. On the way to Helensvale, there are stops for Griffith Uni, the closest to the games village, and the Gold Coast University  Hospital.

With road closures causing transport to be slow, walking and using the light rail will be the in thing.
