The Gold Coast Hockey Centre redevelopment project will provide the Gold Coast with world-class hockey facilities designed to cater for elite training and competitions as well as community use.
Key features of the venue upgrades include resurfacing of two synthetic pitches and realignment of one in order to face a north-south position to meet international competition requirements.
There will also be a major refurbishment of a shared clubhouse facility including permanent seating overlooking the two synthetic pitches. The Gold Coast Hockey Centre redevelopment is scheduled for completion in early 2017 and will host the hockey competition for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
